The only way to arrest the influence that mammon exerts upon our soul through the love of money, is by being introduced to a contrary influence or knowledge called the Faith of the Son, that promises to bring our souls to God or make us serve Him acceptably (Matt. 6:24, 1Tim. 6:6-12, Heb. 12:28).
The world has said, “time is money”, but the gospel is still saying “time is life”! May the Faith in Christ Jesus become our soul’s currency for living, and may money mean to us what it meant to our Lord Jesus, Amen.
So we will need to be armed with the principles/wisdom of Christ, to use/deal with this world as though we don’t; to be unspotted by it until we beat the princes/wisdom of this world in their ploy (Prov. 8:16, 1Cor. 1:30/2:6-8/7:31).
But when the primary life pursuit of a soul is God’s life, a believer would have to leverage the divine power that flows from the Faith Christ authored, to handle money as a servant and gradually end its reign as a master. No man can resist the pull or love of money, who hasn’t tenaciously followed after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience and meekness (1Tim. 6:10-12).
